Copying Hearts game from Laptop to netbook

Hope this is in the right section, forgive me as I'm a newbie

I have the Hearts Game (Oberon & MS) pre-installed on my laptop (Vista) but it's not on the nbetbook -also Vista. Is there a way I can copy it to my netbook? Any help gratefully appreciated and thanks in advance.

you might be able to

Hearts is located on the following path:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Hearts

however, I don't think it will work if the laptops use two different versions of vista

all the built in games are located in:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games

on 64-bit Vista, it's still in that folder, not Program Files(x86).

EDIT: it might work best if you copy it into the same folder on the netbook. If it isn't there, create the nescessary folders. You might need to run the game once before it pops up in the "Games" folder.

What worries me -and I found file before- is that the exe file is only 618KB and total folder is only 696KB.This is far too small to be a programme don't you agree? I also copied it to a flash drive and pasted it on netbook and when I opened it got message "Hearts.exe is not a valid Win32 application".

As i thought the file seems to small to be the prog.

To copy the heart game to a different folder go to start menu > games and right click on the game. Then select properties. In the box click on find target. Then copy the exe file of game from there and paste it in different computer. If you double click the game it will start working. But the compatibility also depends on the version of windows.

I wouldn't say that it's too small for an exe. It also depends on how the graphics are compressed (.jpg files take up little space for example). Also, you need to copy the entire hearts folder, not only the exe.

On my computer, Hearts.exe alone takes up 716 KB, maybe due to savegames and options.

the Hearts game seems to be dependant on pretty much everything in its folder, especially Hearts.exe.mui

Exe file with only 618KB also total folder is only 696KB i had such situation but that was virus so make sure that files are proper and not virus ..

if You Are unable to transfer it to then Download the File From the Internet and Put it in C:\Windows\system32 folder
