How to extract files from multiple folders into single folder

    hello,

In my computer hard-disk, I have no.of folders and within each folder there are files. I need to extract all these files into single folder. If I open each folder and start moving files into that one single folder, it will take a long time to finish and at the same time would be really frustrating. Is there any way that I will be able to highlight all the folders and extract all the files in one go.

Can anybody please suggest me around this ......
    Any ideas......

    thnx

Download and Install a tool called XXCOPY in your PC.

Use this tool for copying all the files one-by-one and paste them once to a single directory.

    For eg :
    xxcopy source destination /s /sx
This would copy all files from the source, including subdirectories into a
    single directory (destination)

    hey Ebenezer,

If you wish to extract similar type of files from different folders and directories, you can perform a Search

Say if you want all .jpg files, then do a search for .jpg

    After the search is complete...

    In Search Results,
    - Select all the pictures (Ctrl + A)
    - Cut (Ctrl + X)
    - Paste (Ctrl + V) into the single folder

That was genius. It never even occurred to me to use the search. Good job.
