Need help downloading directX 9

ok i just got a new program so i run it then it says i need directX9 or above so i look on my computer for the directX dignose tool and when i look down were it say directX version it says not found so i need to install directX, if i do were can i download it

Do you even search while asking for a similar topic? How far have you found youeself so researchful before even posting a very noob topic about where can I update direct x? Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/

i tryd dat but and error comes up saying "An internal error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine problem."

and ps try to post a nicer response next time ^_-

I had the same problem as you have just resolved my problem, When i went to start run and typed in dxdiag i noticed at the bottom of the page there was no directx installed so i just reinstalled service pack 2 and the problem was fixed right away . Hope this fixes ur problems .
