Comodo internet security causes slow bootup

Hey friends. Last week i had my computer hacked by a evil friend of mine, so i installed comodo internet security on my windows xp computer. Now the problem is Comodo internet security causes slow bootup. I am sure it is comodo internet security because before i installed it everything was working pretty smooth. Please help guys!

Antivirus softwares, Antispyware softwares, internet security softwares are meant to be slow as they have to load a whole lot of virus database in the memory and then scan a file with all the signatures. So either be your PC slow, or let it be at risk by removing the software...

I have heard that the virus and antispyware database are very huge. I don't understand why does the developer remove the unwanted virus signature from the software? What is the need for the older virus database. Is there a way i can remove it manually? Please help...

The old virus database is not totally useless. Suppose you remove old database from the software and a hacker comes to know about it. The hacker will use the older virus to hack into your system. This antivirus or antispyware will be totally useless then. Well there is no way you can modify the software to remove the older virus database...
