How to Install Ms Works 4.5

When i try to install Microsoft Works 4.5a, I Get a warning message indicating that Works 4.5a cannot be install on your computer . If i ignore this message, the following error message may appear:

Not enough space to continue the installation. Click OK to quit Setup, and then free up disk space. Then run the setup program.

and also i have a different setup , When i try to Run it I get this error message

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

To Solvethis problem, install each component of Ms Works 4.5a separately .

1. First Insert the Works 4.5a installation CD into the CD-ROM. Hold down the SHIFT key while you insert the CD-ROM to prevent Setup from starting automatically Works.
2. Click Start, point to Serch , then click Files or Folders.
3. In the Named box, type MSWorks.
4. In the LookIn box, click the CD-ROM, and then click Find Now.
5. In the list of found files, double-click the file Msworks.
6. Double-click Setup.exe.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen to install Works 4.5a.
8. in the Msworks folder, double-click the Mswkcalfolder .
9. Double-click Setup.exe.
10. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Microsoft Works Calendar

To work around this issue, follow these steps

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System, click the Advanced tab, and then click Environment Variables.
3. In the User variables for User_Name list, click TMP, and then click Edit.
4. In the Variable value box, type c:\winnt\temp, and then click OK three times.
   
5. Alternatively, type the path of any folder that does not use long file names in the Variable Value box.
6. Close Control Panel.

You Can Try the Software in compatability mode , otherwise try this solution below

1. Click Start, click Run, type C:\windows\repair, and then click OK.
2. Right-click the Autoexec.nt file, and then click Copy.
3. Click Start, click Run, type %windir%\system32, and then click OK.
4. In the System32 folder, press Ctrl + V to paste the Autoexec.nt file in this folder.
