corrupted jpg files

I have several photos on my Sony camera Memory Stick that seem to be corrupted and I'm looking for a way to repair these. For each photo, the thumbnail is visible and clearly shows the photo, but when I try to upload each to my computer, the actual photo is incomplete, distorted, or will not even download. I've tried one of the Recovery Software programs hoping that it would repair the photos and provide me with complete files, but it only recovered what was on the disk in the corrupted form.

I need your help with how to correct the files, or for a software recommendation that is available to either repair the corrupted photo file, or allow me to download the thumbnail photo as it's seen on the camera.

The image will only open half, and the rest of the part will be greyed out. Is this what is in your case? If so,there is no way to repair the broken images.

No i don't think so you would be able to have full images because it might happen that you are able to see those images from memory stick into your Sony camera because it resolution is different but after copying it to your computer try to open it in photoshop , hope you would be able to make it properly.
