Drop down box problem Word 2000

I used the forum to create a drop down box using the forms menu which is very straightforward. However my word document is now protected and I cant update text in the rest of the document. Is there any way round this? I have 2 simple drop down boxes onw ith names and one with dayshift/nightshift.

Maybe you have a trial version, and the trial period has ended. the other chance you may not activated your Office software.
on Word Options>Resources>Activate? If you are already activated, a dialog box will appear.if not it will give you aActivation Wizard ,just put the keys on the field and complete the wizard

Full version of Word. When you add a drop down box to a document via the forms menu you have to protect form bafore it works - I need to be able to update the rest of the document
