Windows vista too slow

my brother buy MSI mainboard (DDR3 support) with intel chipset core2 quad 2.4ghz and 4GB Mb of Ram & XFX 8600 graphic card.. even reboot new windows installation, Man it DAMM too slow! how does it get better perfomance?

Vista runs slow 90 % time it is because of registry error or other system errors in most of the cases.so find out the registry errors and fix it using a good registry cleaner
Try some good anti virus to prevent virus attacks
install latest drivers for your hardware you cab check the version on the command prompt
Adjust the vista Firewall
some body told me that vista work slow when emerged from either sleep or hibernation.
