Access 2007 not bale to export report to excel

I have a Access 2007 report that i wanted to export to Excel. But when tried to do so by right clicking on the report and clicked on Export, i found the Excel option is just grayed out. It was shocking. Do Access 2007 has no option to export to Excel? Please help if it is there.

Re: Access 2007 not bale to export report to excel

When you export data, Access creates a copy of the selected data or database object, and then stores the copy in an Excel worksheet. But in Access 2007, this option is not made available unless you have 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2. You need to upgrade to the 2007 Office suite Service Pack 2. With Access 2007 Service Pack 2, you can export a report to an Excel format in Access 2007.

So simply Download and install 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2 to get all the options in your Access 2007.

You can also do some work around to fix this problem manually, not sure but can try. In the navigation pane, right-click the table or query that is bound to the report, point to Export, and then click Excel. Then, follow the wizard to finish the export.

Or In the navigation pane, right-click the report that you want to export, point to Export, and then select another format. For example, select one of the following formats:
  • Word RTF file
  • PDF or XPS
  • Access Database
  • Text File
  • XML File
  • Snapshot Viewer
  • HTML Document

Re: Access 2007 not bale to export report to excel

For many of us, the work day involves using copy and paste. If the export operation fails because of an error, Access displays a message that describes the cause of the error. Otherwise, in accordance with the export options specified in the wizard, Access exports the data and either does or does not open the destination workbook in Excel. Access then displays a dialog box in which you can create a specification that uses the details from the export operation.
