When you insert a USB flash card in your computer and then view the contents of My Computer, a physical hard disk drive in your computer may appear as a removable drive.

This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:

    1. You installed Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
    2. You run the Wireless Network Setup Wizard in Windows XP SP2, and the wizard copies files to the physical hard disk drive to help in the setup of a wireless network.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click Run, type X:, where X is the letter of the physical hard disk drive that appears as a removable drive. Click OK.
    2. Right-click the Autorun.inf file, and then click Delete.
    3. Restart your computer.
