In my Microsoft PowerPoint, I want to use some of the same slides from one presentation file into another presentation file. So I need to duplicate slides. Can anybody suggest me how can I create the duplicate slides ? Any ideas....
It is very simple to create a duplicate slide from any slide in your current presentation. For this -
-> In the left pane of PowerPoint, select the "Slides"
-> Click on the slide to duplicate.
-> Select "Insert" - "Duplicate Slide".
The new duplicate slide will now appear underneath your selected slide.
Follow the intructions below :
Drag to Copy a Slide
Hold down the Control key and drag the slide into the position whereyou want it in the presentation and let go of the mouse button. A copy of the slide appears at the new position. Then, go to the View menu and select Slide view to return to the presentation.
Use the Duplicate Command
Select the slide you want to duplicate by clicking it. Then, go to the Edit menu and select Duplicate, and then drag the duplicate slide which appears to the right of the original slide into position in the presentation.
Next, select Slide view from the View menu to return to the presentation.
Copy a Slide and Paste It
Select the slide you want to copy and paste by clicking it. Open the Edit menu and choose Copy.
Click again, this time in the position in the presentation (or in a new presentation) where you want to paste the slide; a cursor appears.
Go to the Edit menu and select Paste, then go to the View menu and select Slide view to return to the presentation.
There are different ways you can make duplicate copies) of your slides
- Using the Slides shortcut menu
- Using the Slide Sorter shortcut menu
- Using the Mouse (Holding down Ctrl to create a copy).
- Selecting - Edit > Duplicate.
- Selecting - Insert > Duplicate Slide.
- Using the shortcut key (Ctrl + D).
Note - When slides are copied into another presentation, they are automatically adjusted to match the master slide layout for the new presentation. Embedded charts and graphics are also changed to reflect the new Colour scheme.
You can also duplicate slides within a presentation -
- In the pane that contains the Outline and Slides tabs, click the Slides tab.
- Select one or more slides that you want to duplicate.
- On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click New Slide.
- In the layout gallery, click Duplicate Selected Slides.
