    Change Number of Recent Documents

I want to know weather how can I change the number of recent documents. Whenever we open a file it shows up in the recent documents in the start menu. How to clear. It takes up long time while deleting them one by one. Then also in the word open dialog box how to delete all the files form Recent document tab or set a limited number so that it does not make a big list of documents. Thanks in advance.

It is quiet simple to delete the recent document history form start menu. You can delete all the documents form the toolbar properties. Just right click on the start menu and click on properties. Then go Start Menu tab and then click on Customize. In the window click on Clear List button. All your recently viewed items will be deleted from the history.
