Unable to find AmeriNote PC Audio Driver

My uncle were using RL400C for last 2 to 3 years. with this increasing year they have upgraded from 32 to 96 to 160Megs. of Ram and it seems to get better each time. Now i have taken it from them, However I don't have a video card so some of the more recent video creations won't work. I did recently attempt to get a hard drive upgrade at CompUSA, but the change from 3.2 to 20Gigs. didn't work and resulted in a burned out power supply. The square AC connector was already damaged, so it wasn't any great loss. so if anybody has any idea about the specs or drivers, or if anybody has one of the original dirver/setup disks distributed by CompUSA for AmeriNote, please let me know.

Please let me know if you had any luck locating a battery for the Amerinote 400rl. AmeriNote is one of CompUSA PC high-performance Notebook PC products.It comes with 14.1", 13.1" or 12.1" TFT XGA/DSTN SVGA LCD,and build-in either Intel Mobile Pentium II (PE) Dixon or Celeron series CPU.

The memory upgrade may still be available at CompUSA. It was easily installed by removing the square plate(1 screw) on the bottom of the computer, right behind the battery compartment. Then inserting memory chip in the slot. The memory size can be up to 256MB.It has 2 PCMCIA slots, support Cardbus 2.0.It uses one standard pack, support Smart Li-Ion or Dummy NiMH.It is full software DVD, support S-Video TV-out function.

Go to this site and download the driver wizard, and then after you format your laptop, install the driver wizard onto your laptop and run it. Can you boot into the BIOS screens? If you can, check the settings there. The setings may have been lost due to a dead CMOS battery.
