How to remove addresses from email address book in microsoft mail

I had installed Windlows Xp along with Microsoft Outlook on my pc. The problem is that there are many duplicate email address in my address book. This really frustrate me a lot, as i have to check each an every name before sending any mail. So, can any body tell me that how to remove addresses from email address book in microsoft mail? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue.

In order to remove old or invalid references to Contact Folders from your address book, you need to click on Tools, then select Email accounts and then you need to select View or change existing directories or address books. Afterwards you need to clcik on Outlook Address Book and then finnaly select Change. That's it and your job is done.

To delete a contact from your Address Book, click the contact that you want to delete, and then click Delete on the toolbar. The contact name is also removed from any groups that it is in. If you want, you can check out the following link. Hope so it may help you out.

Inorder to remove addresses from email address book, you need to folow the below steps mention.

1. For that you need to go on the Tools menu, then need to click on Account Settings.
2. Then on the Address Books tab, you need to click the address book that you want to remove.
3. Then you need to click on Remove.
4. And finally you need to click on Finish.
