I can not delete any emails from Outlook express.

Hi,

I have this problem with my outlook express.
I got an email & when I open it It got freeze, then I had to restart my computer. Now the email is still there but I cant delete the same.
In fact I just can't delete any of my outlook emails now.
If anyone of you have experienced such kind of problem before please let me know guys.

Very first thing to do is update your windows OS with latest updates & patches.
Emails attack you with attachments, & you are may be attacked by some threat so keep your anti virus or firewall up to date & activated.
Try turning off the preview pane in Outlook, then right click on those fishy messages & delete. Try shift+delete if that wont work. It will directly delete the message & it wont go to the deleted messages folder.

You can also try to take a backup of the email messages firts.
Then create new outlook express profile. set it up for your mail account & see if you are able to delete the messages now or not?
IF you can delete the messages now then import the old saved messages & delete the unwanted messages.

here is what I did when I got this problem with outlook express when I was not able to delete the email messages.
Open OE and save or move any messages you want in the Inbox.
Tools>Options>Maintenance tab>Store Folder
Store Location box - highlight address with a tab key.
copy the address with Control+C Click cancel on all boxes & close outlook express.
Start -run & paste the address in command line & enter.
the store folder will all dbx files will open. find inbox & delete it.
next time you open the outlook express a new inbox will be automatically created.
