Print spooler service not running.

Hello
My computer running on Windows xp,and my problem is I can't add my printer spooler it always gives me error message... when i looked
on start up configuration utility my 'print spooler' is selected but the status is 'stopped'...so what i need to do get my printer to work back again..

Go to System Properties>Advanced
Select Performance>Settings and select data
Execution Prevention
Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services
Click Add
Paste this in to the file name box of the window that opens:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe
Select Open next OK when you receive the warning and apply

well i had same problem like you..
and i searched over internet went through many threads..
finally i solved it by Data Execution Prevention procedure..
it may help you..try

Ive tried downloading a new driver and printing directly to the printer. still problem..then Open run dialog and type Services.msc . confirm that the printspooler service is running in automatic mode and also make sure you UPnP services are also started.. unplug your printer and restart your computer. when restarted plug in printer and try again.
