Unable to run video and audio

Hi
recently changed the windows live messenger to 2009, Messenger abruptly it halt to do video or audio calls at all

When ever I try to run Audio & Video setup error message that says 'We are unable to run audio & video setup,but am able to get and send messages.
can anybody help me out to solve this issue?

try to uninstall and install..and if it is not working try to downgrade the version since it was working
Start a voice call only up on Request the other persons webcam once voice is active.

which is your webcam?...I had the same problem with webcam. meanwhile I was with MSN 7.5, but after updating i was able to chat. MSN recognized the webcam without any problem. The update was 7.50322.

this is a common compliant but there no detailed information to assess
the problem. may be you try to up date the audio and video drivers still problem I'd suggest uninstalling the entire Live suite in the Programs and Features in the Control
Panel and going back to 8.5/2008 since this is obviously a feature you worked with no issues...
