Need help w/ MPP 2007 EPM - dates revert back

    Hello,

I am having a problem w/ dates reverting back in my schedule on MPP EPM 2007.....when I publish the schedule to EPM I find that some dates are reverting back to the original unchanged date. As a workaround...we have found that zeroing out the status for each resource, making the new date change, saving, and then re-entering the status for each resource and re-saving fixes the problem....

Recently, we are implementing the same workaround and getting dates reverting back again. Has anyone experienced this, and found a root cause and potential solutions?

    Thanks! Great board and resource!

Do you have SP-1 installed to Project 2007? What operating system are you using? Are you working with Project Server? Take a look at this similar type of topic discussion made below

Changing start date and creating formula for finish date

    Thanks for the link.

I checked it out, but do not believe it to apply to my situation.

Basically, and perhaps it's a glitch w/ our system (tailored for our use), we:

    1) Have a task w/ resources loaded under it.
    2) Accept % Complete updates through PWA, and publish the schedule to reflect in EPM.
    3) A date change request from a PM will come in.
    4) If I don't zero out the already accepted statuses on each individual resource and then change the date to the new date the PM wants, save, and then re-enter the status for each resource....the date will revert back to it's previous date.
    5) Hope this is articulated decently...if not my apologies. Not trying to waste anyone's time here.
    6) The above is a work-around to accomodate requests we get from PMs.
Recently we are seeing our dates revert back even after we follow the work-around which has been successful.
    7) Is there any other reason a date would revert back from a resource(s) on it's own.

    Thanks again for your time.
