    Hi,

    Wordpad is a part of the operating system.

    I do not know what OS you have, yes, but can start with the Windows CD to try to repair the existing operating system. Then you can also repair Wordpad.

    In WinXP the repair function.

    A new installation, will not need be needed probably .......

    The Wordpad.exe is located under the following path (in XP):

    "C: \ Program Files \ Windows NT \ Accessories \"

    check the file types in the shortcuts.

    If not, then you copy from someone Wordpad.exe the times, should be enough.

    Re: I need to install wordpad to my computer

    The reinstallation of Wordpad goes on "Windows Components add / remove". However, it is hidden by default Wordpad.

    Search SYSOC.INF the file in the Windows subdirectory Inf These open with an editor.

    Or type in "Run" a:
    Code:
    % SYSTEMROOT% \ inf \ SYSOC.INF
    Search the line
    Code:
    MSWordPad = ocgen.dll, OcEntry, wordpad.inf, HIDE, 7
    In this line, delete the HIDE.

    Looks like this (before the 7-point twice!):
    Code:
    MSWordPad = ocgen.dll, OcEntry, wordpad.inf,, 7
    Then on the "Start" "Set Program Access and Defaults" to open.

    Choose "Windows Components add / remove". Among the details of "Accessories and Utilities" turn the details of "accessories" menu.

    There is now an entry "Wordpad", simply by putting a hook to install Wordpad then new (only if necessary to remove the hook thereon Wordpad to uninstall, and then set the hook in order to re-install - such as when the old installation was faulty ).

    PS: With the removal of the HIDE can also be other Windows components on Windows Components add / remove "to uninstall, which is otherwise not needed, but not by default available to uninstall, for example on the Microsoft Messenger
    Code:
    msmsgs = msgrocm.dll, OcEntry, msmsgs.inf,, 7
