Program to convert xif

I have some xif files and i don't know what program is used to open those files. Which Program to convert xif into other files that will be easily used and recognized by windows? Can anyone help me with this?

File Type : ScanSoft Pagis File

Category : Image Files

File Description :

• Text color layer
• Text layer for OCR (optical character recognition)
• Layer containing color image segments
• Background tint layer

Programs that open xif files in Windows OS :

• ScanSoft Pagis Viewer
• Nuance OmniPage

I guess these are the missing files that i scanned and i did not find later on. Thanks for the information mate. But can you tell me how do i convert this file to a standard image file [jpg, bmp, png] so that i can easily edit it and upload it to my profile on the internet. I have to share these files and don't want my friend to go through the same pain. Thanks!

Use any one software from ScanSoft Pagis Viewer or Nuance OmniPage and then from there open the .xif image file now in the file menu there will be an option either to export the image to other format or you will find this in 'save as' option.
