photoshop gif image need to unlock

Hi,

I am facing a problem working with photoshop .gif images?
I found that the image is locked don't know how?
Can you please let me know how to unlock the .gif image?

A far as I know about the .gif files is that the files are not editable.
The source files like .psd & .png that will have the editable layer for it.
The .gif file is basically in indexed color mode so you cant modify or edit the content or the image in the original document.

The solution for the problem is:
You will need to change the mode.
From indexed color to the mode you are working with. For this go to Image then Mode & select RGB color.

Now you can easily edit your gif file without any problem.
