Why is the file aolacsd.exe running all the time

I have this file aolacsd.exe always running on my computer. I believe this is some kind of a virus or spyware that is spying on my activity. As this file starts running as soon as i start my AOL messenger and i don't think this should be running whenever i have some conversation with my friends of distant family members. Any suggestions?

If you suspect this as a virus, run a antivirus and antispyware scan on your computer, this may help to identify if it is a real virus or i'm just getting paranoid. Well just to be sure, run the scans with the antivirus and antispyware softwares which you have but make sure those are fully up-to-date.

May be, i getting paranoid, cause i have suffered data loss due to a virus infection before and i can't afford that all over again. So its better to be a bit paranoid then to be at risk. Well i tried scanning this file as well as the full computer, but could not find any virus or any kind of infection on my computer. Anymore suggestions?

I think you have just misunderstood this file. Actually this file is related to AOL messenger. So it starts whenever you start AOL messenger. Actually this file is AOL Connection State Driver. This file is responsible for reconnecting AOL again to the internet when there is a drop in the internet connection. Just don't worry about it...!
