How to convert AVI VBR to CBR

I tried to convert the VBR audio to CBR with the help of Radium/Lame MP3 codec with virtualdub, but it dint worked. Is there any way or suggestion to do it easily and perfectly ? Please help.

i don't think any issue must occur while doing this task VBR in VirtualDubMod. But anyways, i think you must go with Lame MP3. Lame MP3 encoder and ACM MP3 encoder codec that you can use in most applications for example in Virtualdub, to install the ACM codec just extract all files and right click on the LameACM.inf and select Install.Lame is a good mp3 codec to use for Virtual Dub but it hasn't got the 96 kbps 441000 khz stereo option. When installed, only the 96 kbps 32000 khz and 22050 are stereo/mono.

Demux to mp3 using VirtualDubMod and Decompress using WinAMP, (Diskwriter plugin) to PCM. Once done, than use LAME to encode back to mp3 and mux in VirtualDub.You can probably write a simple bat file that decompresses and recompresses automatically.
