Outlook pst file had disappeared on Windows Vista

I had installed Windows Vista long with Microsoft Outlook on my system. Just few days back my computer had crashed and all my files had been stored on my hard drive. So i had tried to restored all my files, but unfortunately i couldn't found any .pst file on my system. I tried to search the .pst file everywhere on my pc, but couldn't get it. Can any body tell me that how do i get back my .pst file on my pc? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue.

Even i was having the same issue on my pc. Then i tried to serach it in my programs files under c drive. You need to find out some thing related to this one "\Windows\outlook\outlook.pst" and then you need to delete it from your system and then have to create a new .pst file on your system.

If you are unable to get it on your system, then you need to search it on the entire boot partition. You can use the following command:-

C:\> dir/s scanpst.exe

It will help you to find out .pst file on your system. Once you get the path on your pc, then you just need to execute it and then it will ask you the location for your pst file and then you just need to click on start. That's it and your job is done.
