Outlook 2007 not displaying Reminder Icons

I have installed Microsoft Outlook 2007 on my windows xp system. The reminder icon in outlook is missing, event in profile reminder icon didn't display. I have no idea about how to setup it while opening the event details.What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!

To set a reminder follow the step given below :

Click the Mail icon. Select inbox folder in Favorite Folders list. Then Right-click on a message which are available and select that message th set reminder. Select Add Reminder from menu. Make a selection from the Flag To dropdown menu.There are many other option like start date due date. Then select reminder checkbox from the list and click OK to add the reminder.

In the Navigation pane, click on the Calendar icon. In Calendar, in the toolbar click New. In the Subject box you can type reasons or description of the date. Location box ,Show Time As list this are various option select as you require. You can also deselect it from dropdown list.
