How to export Outlook 2003 contacts to sharepoint 2007

I have a problem exporting contacts from outlook 2003 to sharepoint 2007. I can export outlook 2003 contacts into outlook 2007. But when i try to access an outlook contact in sharepoint 2007, i get a read only error. Has anybody done this successfully? Please Help!!

I don't use outlook 2003 anymore and didn't use it for a long time. But the general and common way to swap or transfer contacts is exporting outlook 2003 contacts to excel and then importing it to sharepoint 2007. Did you try this out? This works out maximum of the times, you should try this...

I tried that before. The problem is : I can export contacts from outlook 2003 into excel, but i don't see an option to import the contacts in sharepoint via excel spread sheet. Any other workaround? Please help guys...

In WSS 2.0 there was a method to import contacts and that was also valid from excel too...

• Click on Contacts under Lists
• From the Menu line Import Contacts
• From Select Users to Import Select all the contacts, select, Add and OK

But this doesn't work for WSS 3.0 anymore...
