Hello All,
I am completely new to macros in Word.
I have a document of about 100 pages throughout which certain names and titles often appear. (e.g. The client name appears very often, the product name appears very often, etc). These names/titles are specific to the client to whom the document is being sent. Currently, it requires the user to do several individual Search/Replace functions (one for each name, title, etc) in order to customize the document.
I would like to streamline this process as follows:
On the first page of the document, I would like to have a listing of all of the items that are to be replaced and desired replacement value. I would like a macro that when run will read the list and automatically make the changes. This will help to ensure that none of the name are missed when doing them separately.
Example
<Client Name> = XYZ Corp
<Product Name> = Widget
<Title> = VP Finance
The macro would replace all <Client name> throughout document with XYZ Corp and so on.
Is this even possible?
Thanks in advance for your help
