unsure Set ffdshow to load Auto profiles

I have ffdshow in my system. I want to configure ffdshow to auto load a profile. But things are not working. Like i have two different profiles. In ffdshow audio decoder the first one is default and the other one is for playing HD DVD movies which I named h264. Now I want that ffdshow should auto load the profiles respective to the files. Like if insert a DVD it should auto load h264 profile. But if I insert a music cd should it must change back to default. So how can I do this. Pls help.

Re: How reset ffdshow auto load profile

The profile based setup of ffdshow to load certain profiles depends on the video input size and format. To save a profile for auto load follow the below instructions :
    • First run ffdshow. Go to video preset tab.
    • Select New. Follow the instruction and create a new profile. Named it.
    • Now tick on the box Automatic preset loading
    • Select the tab Preset Autoload conditions
    • In the tab select all the options.
    • Now select
    • Now that Preset Autoload Conditions is open.
    • Select all the options and move to on movie dimensions match. Select it.
    • Set both the height box with same resolution
    • Set both the width box with same resolution
    • Select on fourcc match
    • Now in the drop down list of select x264 and h264
    • Select Close and apply.
    • Now to apply this profile go to profile in ffdshow and select it.

Re: How reset ffdshow auto load profile

I am giving the following setting to configure ffdshow to load a auto profile created by you. But you need to take care that these settings wont work until you set the codecs to play video file. To set up the profile thing do this. Go to the preset tab of ffdshow and select new. Create a profile and name it. Select option of Automatic preset loading. Now select on all conditions in the Preset Autoload conditions tab. Apply the setting and exit ffdshow.

Re: How reset ffdshow auto load profile

ffdshow support the auto load preset profiles option. The important thing to take care is the settings. If the setting are not configured properly it go in to the default profile. I will recommend you to take a backup of your setting. So whenever the setting changes you can reload it. To do this Go to Image settings and select save to file. Select a location and proper name. Save it. Now from here you had a copy of your profile. To load the profile back select Read from file. The auto-load preset depends on which type of format or codec you use. In the same image setting view select Automatic Preset Loading option for your desirable profile. Set the parameters for your profile.
