    Try to Download and run CCleaner. It removes unused files from your system. It also allows Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space.

    Changing default search engine in internet explorer is very simple task. Follow these steps to set your default search engine:
    • Open Internet Explorer 7
    • Click on the down-arrow button next to the search button
    • Select "Change Search Defaults" at the bottom
    • Click on "Find more providers"
    • Click the "Use current" button in the homepage section of the "General" tab
    • And select your favorite search engine (check the check box next to "Make this my default search provider.")
    • Click the "Add Provider" button

    this Ask search engine is a piece of junk closer to Malware than a search engine.
    The only way that I could fine to get rid of it was to reinstall O/S

    Yikes;
    Crashaxe solution to removing the "piece of junk," Ask Search engine, is a bit like throwing a stick of dynamite at hornets nest hanging under the eave of your house. Destroying the house and nest will definitely work, but after you rebuild the house, the hornets may well come back to bug you. I don't have the answer to solving it in IExplorer. Have you tried changing browsers? I'll watch for your reply.

    All you need to do is to type About:config in the address bar of your browser. Now you may get a warning message. get access to the same. Now in the filter section you should type Ask and check for the options you will get. Now right click on the same and make it disable for default web page on browser and then your browser will be reverted to Google as default page. Check out.
