CDRW disc became read only

hie,
One of my CD-RW disc has turned to read only. As a result, I can only view the contents currently present on the cd. I need to add some more content on that same cd(since it used to be a RW). How can I change it back to CDRW ?

Insert your CDRW disc into the drive and format the disc. When prompted to format the CD, just click "Yes."

Once the formatting is complete, you can start copying. Select the files you want to copy. After selecting the files, right click on the CD drive and select "Paste." Now, the CD contains your files copied to it. You can open them, edit them and save them again. You can also add more files or update the files you have copied.

Note - you should periodically update your files, daily, weekly, or monthly. It depends on how often you feel comfortable with updating them.

have you used any application to copy the files in your CDRW ? becoz sometimes these application causes the disc to change from CDRW to Read only mode. I would suggest you to format the whole disc. The files and other data will be erased when you format the disc. So, first take the backup of your necessary files on your computer and then perform formatting.....goodluck
