How to play image file in VLC

Does VLC media player can play image files. If yes then how to do that. I want to view some images from a CD which are not displayed int eh regular player. And the other thing I am trying to do is how to listen to podcast in the player. Also how to play a online radio in the same. Many times on playing a movie the screen saver comes in between and stops the movie.

The VLC has the ability to play image files without having to accumulate the image files on an essential drive first. Even though numerous formats are maintained, many are not. You have to open an image file straightly for the video to start playing. I had tried the similar before that work correctly. But you have to take care about the dissimilar image format.

You can listen to podcase in VLC. Go to Playlist > Additional Sources > Configure Podcasts. Add the podcast url, or add multiple urls. You can also do this. Go to Playlist > Additional sources > Podcasts. And Go to Playlist > Show playlist. The list of pod casts you added should appear in the playlist window now. Double-click on one to start playing.

If you want to listen to online radio, you have to go to the Playlist and then to the Shout cast Radio Listings. Then go to Playlist and then to the Show Playlist. The Shout cast radio alternative is supposed to have come into view below the ‘Playlist’ and ‘Media Library’ decision. A long record of genres and radio stations will come into view. You have to choose one that you wish to listen to you. Several of the stations listed do not run, and some may create the player crash. Some stations are listed under numerous genres.

This is an extremely helpful characteristic that preclude a screensaver from interrupting the movie you are watching. You have to go to the Tools and then to the Preferences. In the conversation that pops ups, look at the down side at left corner, and choose the ‘All’ radio button under ‘Show settings’. Hit on the ‘Video’ favorite, and under ‘General Video Settings’ look for the ‘Disable Screensaver’ checkbox.

The VLC supports skins. The VLC skins can be downloaded from their site, but VLC also maintains winamp 2 and xmps skins. You have to go to the Tools and then the Preferences. In ‘Interface’, choose the ‘Skins’ radio switch and load the skin file from here. By this you can end or close the screen saver interruption and thus the video can be play permanently.
