To erase file history in MS Word 2003, you need to do it from Registry.Heres how:-
Click Start, Run and type regedit.exe and press ENTER
Navigate to the following location:
In the right-pane, delete the value named SettingsHKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 11.0 \ Wordview \ Data
This erases the File names MRU in Word Viewer 2003.
Exit the Registry Editor
Thats it !!
If you need to remove a single item or selected item than Browse to the following registry key and delete the items you want to remove manually:
Delete the entries and then restart Word.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\File MRU
Thanks for the tip friends. I need to do the same in Word 2007. Could make me know for the same ?
