Avoid Password Expiring in Windows Vista

    Hi,
My password in Windows Vista gets automatically expired. Recently i had
changed my password for some security reason. This is happening again
and again. After 42 day the it starts giving warning. It actually very hard to
remember a number of passwords. On the other hand i don't want to
disable the password thing also. So how can i stop this. Reply

Never Mind. It just a simple security system. You can switch it off.
Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Right click on Command Prompt.
    Select Run as administrator.
    Click continue on UAC prompt.
Give the command net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited
Press Enter. You will get the message command completed successfully.
    Type Exit.

This will reset your password settings

Windows Vista OS ask to change your password at a regular interval of time in order to increase your security.

You can disable it by the following steps :
    [LIST]
    • Click on Start Menu > Type lusrmgr.msc in the search box.
    • Or
    • Click on Start Menu > Run > and type lusrmgr.msc
      • Select the User Tab. In the window select your user name by double clicking on it.
      • A Property dialog box will popup.
      • Go to the General Tab and select the box of 'Password never expires'.

Now by configuring this setting your password will remain the same.
