Email program suitable for Windows 7

Sponsored Links
So as the question goes, which mail program is suitable for Windows 7? Because unlike Windows XP and Vista, Windows 7 does not comes with pre loaded mail program. So can I install Outlook in Windows 7? Or any other program that is more suitable which can be downloaded from sites?

After you install Win7 you can install Windows Live mail, which must be downloaded manually, in part due to concerns regarding antitrust lawsuits. It does work, though, and has become a fairly robust e-mail client.

Yes, there is no email program pre installed in windows 7... its so bad. Maybe they will add email program to Windows 7 in its final version . Because the current releases are just the beta releases.

Windows 7 does not come with a email program included. Windows Live Mail also supports the Hotmail website based email. It supports Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX: Hotmail) email, and is a lot more stable. Plus, WLM will minimize to a tray bar icon and has a separate Inbox for each email account. It has a lot of great features. So download Windows Live Mail.

I don't think they'll add email program on final version because their Upgrade Advisor (see our screenshot here) says so. They are offering their Live Essentials (IM, email, blog writer, family safety program etc).

Windows Mail/Outlook is not accessible through Windows7 Beta. You will have to crate a Windows Live account and access your Windows Mail/Outlook through there. So they say, in the Help menu type Windows Mail.

Windows Mail or Outlook Express in Windows 7

Microsoft have removed Windows Mail from W7, probably because of many anti-trust lawsuits from competitors!
You can use Live Mail instead though, which is where the focus from MS has been shifted : http://download.live.com/wlmail
