WMP 11 attempts to download Media Usage Rights on Windows Vista

Hello Everybody,

I'm having Windows Vista 32 bit running as my operating system. The problem is taht when i try to play any video file on my Windows Media Player 11, my WMP 11 attempts to download Media Usage Rights on my pc. It shows a a big button that displays "Download" (pic1) on my desktop screen. But when i press the button it doesn't show the next page ass well as do not show (pic2) on my desktop. Can any body tell me that why i'm having such strange issue on my pc? What can i do to get rid of the above issue? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue.

To prevent Windows Media Player from retrieving related media information from WindowsMedia.com and updating your digital music files, do the following:

1. Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, and then click More Options.
2. Click the Privacy tab, and then clear the Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet check box.

Windows Media Player supports other options that control the updating and overwriting of related media information. For more information, do the following:

1. Click the arrow below the Library tab, and then click More Options.
2. Examine the options for automatically updating the media information for files.

In order to prevent Windows Media Player from acquiring rights automatically, follow the below steps mentioned.

1. Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, and then click for More Options.
2. Then, Click on the Privacy tab, and then clear the Automatically check if protected files need to be refreshed check box.

Windows Media Player 11 automatically is trying to access the Internet. So, in order to get rid of the above problem follow the below steps mention.

1. From Windows Media Player 11's full mode, right-click the window's title bar.

2. Select "Tools" - "Options".

3. The "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears. Click the "Privacy" tab.

4. Underneath "Enhanced Playback and Device Experience", check or uncheck "Download usage rights automatically when I play or sync a file".

5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
