I want to know about the software called Rachota ? What is the significance of this software ? Is it worth installing it on my computer ? How do I run it ?

Rachota is a time tracking software. Rachota can track the time you spend on each task and give you good summary of how you use your days. It is light and easy to use application. It is a cross-platform tool which means that you can run it on either Windows, Mac, or Linux.
Here's the information on how to download, install and run Rachota -
Make sure the Java is installed -
Rachota is a Java application. So you need to install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) first. If you don't haven JRE, then get one and install.
Download Rachota -
Download Rachota from its website. The size is only about 290 KB and it’s in the form of a Jar file (Java executable file). You don’t need to install it. You don’t even need to extract it. That one file is ready to use.
Create shortcut
You may want to create a shortcut to it on the desktop to make it easy to access. This way you can quickly launch Rachota whenever you need it.
Run Rachota
You can run Rachota by double-clicking it.

Rachota is an application that displays time data in diagram form, creates customized HTML reports or analyses measured data and suggests hints to improve user's time usage. It is totally portable software and a personal timetracker.
Run Rachota
Rachota is distributed as so called Java Archive (jar file). To launch it, you need to have Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed. To verify whether you have JRE installed or not, type java -version on the command line and press Enter.
If your system does not recognize the java command, download and install JRE 1.5 or higher.
Once installed, Rachota can be run using the following command: java -jar rachota_21.jar
With Rachota, you can -
Set the location of diary files -You can use the -userdir switch for setting the location of diary files. For example if you want your diary files stored in directory D:\rachota\diaries, run Rachota this way:java -jar rachota_21.jar -userdir=D:\rachota\diaries
Highlight private tasks -Go to System > Settings menu and check this option.
Edit measured time manually -You can transfer time between tasks. For this, select the source task and use Task > Move time menu item. Select destination task, setup desired number of hours/minutes/seconds and push OK button.
