Cannot Install Open Office

I was using Microsoft Office 2007 & now uninstalling it i tried to install Open Office but it gave me the an error saying cannot install open office. I am using Windows Vista.

Can someone provide the Solution for it...!

Myself was having the same problem with it. somebody suggested me to update .net framework, & it worked for me. Maybe it will help you the same.

I am getting Error Code 1304. It only says cannot install.

Looks like you have a CD Rom problem.Have a look at this link

You either have a bad CD-ROM drive or bad media (the cd itself).

May I suggest cleaning the disk and trying again?

This error might have due to two reasons only. the two reasons are as follow:-

• There might be already one installation already in your computer will be trying to install another which confilct both.
  ANS : To resolve this problem, remove the duplicate program (for example, Word, Excel, or Office XP Small Business Edition), and then install Office or the Office program again.
  
• This error message occur because there is a bad CD ROM or there might be a bad CD itself.
  ANS : IF you are installing from CD.Test your CD-ROM drive configuration, reduce the drive caching for your CD-ROM drive.
