Yes. There extra themes in Windows 7. They locked and hidden. These themes and wallpapers are provided for some regional areas. But can also gain access to it.
Try this .

and choose the option of Unhide the Windows 7 System and Protected Operating System files.
Go through C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT.
In window open a folder named it AU or CA or ZA.
In the select region folder open the selected region folder.Select the .theme file to use it.
Again scroll through and hide the he Windows 7 System and Protected Operating System files.

The simplest method to get those additional themes is by using the Windows 7 search feature.
Go to the following directory : c:\Windows\winsxs Directory
Type *.theme. in the search box.
Look for Winsxs Themes folder.
Double click themes with name in the format of AU or GB, etc to apply and save the theme for your use.

Re: How to get additional hidden themes stored in Windows Live 7

There are different folders in Windows Live 7 for themes and wallpapers stores for different regions. Like US folder of America, CA folder for California, etc.
But doing some changes in the registry one can get those themes. The method for registry entry is as follows :
First open notepad and copy past the following lines
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\InstalledThemes\MCT]
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-AU\\Theme\\AU.theme”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-CA\\Theme\\CA.theme”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-GB\\Theme\\GB.theme”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-US\\Theme\\US.theme”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-ZA\\Theme\\ZA.theme”=””

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Wallpapers\KnownFolders\Windows Wallpapers\MergeFolders]
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-AU\\Wallpaper”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-CA\\Wallpaper”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-GB\\Wallpaper”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-US\\Wallpaper”=””
“%windir%\\Globalization\\MCT\\MCT-ZA\\Wallpaper”=””

Save the file as allregional.reg. And put it on the desktop.
Double click on the file to add above registry entry.
After the registry entry is done you can access all Windows 7 Hidden & Locked Themes just by right clicking on desktop and personalize setting.
