How to play .meta file downloaded from youtube

Hello, I have recently downloaded some trailers of some movies namely transformers 2, Terminator Salvation and also some game trailers like Resident Evil 5, Prototype, etc, which are in .meta extension and it doesnt plays in Windows media player. I have also installed the K-Lite Codec in my computer and all video files like .avi, .mpeg, etc play well but only this .meta extension videos dont play. So can anyone tell me how to play this video files on my pc? Thank you

''Meta Files'', are a storage format, normally associated with sound, but also include other media, such as graphics/animation - Though this is rare nowadays, when there are more efficient storage formats out there. There is a version developed for Windows Media player, that will play sounds through the player. Any files with the extension of wmf for example: ''myfile.wmf'' is your normal and somewhat large sized audio file, these files are not normally well compressed, and can take up a lot of room, if recording in this format. This file can be played in the following programmes. Windows Media Player-Supplied free with Windows. As well as a multitude of other third party media players.

As for the meaning of ''Meta'' Files, ''Meta'' I used to know this, but at the moment I cannot remember what the exact acronym is or was. The ''WMF'' format has largely been superceeded by ''WMA'', ''MP3'', ''CDA'' and other formats, all these formats take up less space than the original ''WMF'' format, so that more information or Audio or Video can be stored in the same sized storage media, therefore other format are more efficient.
