You are logged on to messenger on another computer in windows live messenger

Hello people,
I am using Windows live messenger 2008. When i try to log in to my messenger, i get the following error: "you are logged on to messenger on another computer.click here for you to sign in again"

Can anyone help?

This sounds like someone has got your password and is actually signing into your MSN from their computer. Try to login to web messenger.

Try this:

• Click the Start Button
• Go to Control Panel
• Then click User Accounts
• Select the Windows account name
• On the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'
• Click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry
• Then click remove

Try to reinstall live messenger. It may possible that your firewall is blocking it. Check your firewall settings:

• Start Messenger
• Select Tools
• Then click Options
• Under Connection, click Advanced Settings
• Under SOCKS, delete the entries
• Click OK
