    Change properties of PDF/A file

I have a PDF file that has been "printed" as PDF/A, I can not change the properties from "File/Properties."

Is there any way to remedy this incident?

The PDF/A born for a need for a "standard" storage. Many institutions require documents in this format.

In my opinion the only solution is to save a copy in pdf "classic" format.

    PDF/A

In September 2005, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has approved the new PDF/A standard for 'archiving of electronic documents'. According to the ISO 19005-1 standard, PDF/A is 'a derivative of PDF', obtained by leaving out PDF features not suited to long-term archiving. This is similar to the definition of the PDF/X subset for the printing and graphic arts. Such means of preserving allow PDF to be self sustainable. PDF/A follows this self 'embedding' s information (content, color, fonts, images, text, etc..) You will need to display the document's it. In other words, PDF/A does not require any additional external information to be viewed correctly. But for the self ', this format is to exclude certain functions allowed in standard PDF files as films, sound and transparency.

PDF/A and 'a new standard that will revolutionize' the way in which government institutions and commercial enterprises store important documents and data. Currently, many commercial companies store their documents using paper. An 'other method of storing and' to use microfilm or microfiche. PDF/A and 'was designed to replace the methods described above with a single standardized format which is' easy to update, search, organize, transportable and, above all, sustainable. For your company, this means a lower cost, lower volume (an alternative to having to keep piles of paper and folders in your file) of space occupied. Moreover, due to the fact that these and 'an electronic format, and' easy to store your documents' archive in piu 'a place. This makes them less vulnerable to disasters' natural fires, floods and so 'on.

    PDF/Archive (PDF/A)

PDF/A-1 is a constrained form of Adobe PDF version 1.4 intended to be suitable for long-term preservation of page-oriented documents for which PDF is already being used in practice. The ISO standard [ISO 19005-1:2005] was developed by a working group with representatives from government, industry, and academia and active support from Adobe Systems Incorporated. Part 2 of ISO 19005 will be a version of PDF/A based on a more recent version of PDF.

    PDF/A attempts to maximize:
    - Device independence
    - Self-containment
    - Self-documentation

    The constraints include:
    - Audio and video content are forbidden
    - Javascript and executable file launches are prohibited
    - All fonts must be embedded and also must be legally embeddable for unlimited, universal rendering
    - Colorspaces specified in a device-independent manner
    - Encryption is disallowed
    - Use of standards-based metadata is mandated

    Quality and functionality

Good support is possible, but not guaranteed. The PDF/A format does not preclude creating documents from scanned page images; such files do not necessarily support indexing of the document text or extraction of text for quotation.

PDF is designed to represent the layout of page-oriented documents. Can be represented by embedded graphics.
