    Classification line in Excel 2003

In a table, I number the lines of my table in column A.

However I am likely to remove or add lines in this table, and I would like that this classification is updated automatically.

The continuations of number do not allow it. I tested the formula A5= A4+1, but there too, no update when I remove or insert a line.

    Does somebody have a solution?

Yes, I also looked at that, but is there average to indicate to him to which number I want to start my classification: isn't my numbered cell 15 inevitably with line 15…?

you write =ligne (a1: a1000) in all the cells.

In the event of suppression, there is nothing has to write, but in the event of insertion, it is necessary to rewrite the formula in the blank cell which was created.

now, if you explained why you put these figures in the column has, he would have can be another solution.

This solution is good, but counting is put up to date neither during the insertion of line nor during the suppression (in fact it shifts very of 1 when I remove a line)

I do not know why my colleague wants to number the lines, but its table can become very great of number of lines, and she wants that this classification is updated automatically.
