There is a built-in Message Recall feature provided in Microsoft Outlook.
To recall or replace a message you've sent do the following:
- On the Outlook Bar, click Mail.
- Click Sent Items.
- Open the message you want to recall or replace.
- On the Tools menu, click Recall This Message.
- Click "Delete unread copies of this message", to recall the message.
To replace the message, click "Delete unread copies and replace with a new message" >> click OK >> and then type your new message. Send it as you send other messages.
To receive notification about the success of the recall or replacement, click "Tell me if recall succeeds or fails for each recipient" check box.
Click OK.
Important Note - Well, the above mentioned Message Recall feature may not work,
if any of the following condition is true -
- The recipient is not using Outlook.
- The recipient is not logged on to the mail service provider.
OR
if any of the following actions is performed -
- The message has been moved from the Inbox.
- The message has been read.
