Need drivers for USB WiFi dongle

Hey Guys!
I'm new to windows. From the start i used Ubuntu as my main OS but i've switched to dual boot just for games. Well, I have a USB wifi dongle. I don't know which is the manufacturer. As it is around 3 years old and i bought it from my friend...! Well windows XP SP2 just recognizes the device as "Unknown USB Device" in the device manager...! Ubuntu also doesn't recognize its manufacturer. Well i need the drivers for Windows XP. How can i find the drivers for it? help Guys!

Hey!
You can try installing the driver via Device Manager > Update Driver... In the first Device Driver Update Wizard select yest to connect to internet and search driver in Windows update...! May be this could help you...! All the best...!

Thanks for replying to my question. But i already tried this method...! Also i got a CD from my friend but windows doesn't identify the driver from the CD any other way? Thanks there are a lot of files in the CD...! Thanks

Hey!
If you have a CD, In there you will find a setup.exe file... If it is there just run the setup. It will install the drivers and configure it for your use. You may need to restart your computer to make the change work...! All the best...!

If the setup program doesn't work for that, try getting the program Everest. It's really good at finding out what certain hardware is. Quick google search will provide the link.
