MOSS CPU is reaching 100 % when clicking on Submit button

    Hi,

My MOSS application is having MOSS 2007 server and SQL server 2005 DB server.

In one of the form, when i enter the details and click on Submit, the MOSS server CPU is reaching nearly 100% and it is maintained for nearly 3mins and then dropping to normal.

Can anyone suggest what could be issue.

    Regards,

There's not a lot you can do. Sharepoint chews through the RAM so if you are copying production onto this server it will run noticeably slower.

My only recommendations would be as follows if this is non-Production:
    - Don't use multiple application pools on this server. Each application pool consumes a chunk of memory. Use one for all the web applications.
    - Turn of the 'Full' recovery model on SQL and set the database recover models to 'Simple' That will reduce transaction logging overhead.
    - Add RAM

When I monitored the MOSS server thro task manager, I could see DW20.exe is eating up the whole CPU. it is staying for 100% for approx 2mins and dropping back after which the application is working normally.

Please anyone suggest what could be the issue.
