Telnet in Windows 7

Hello,

I'm running the public Windows 7 beta. I'm unable to run the telnet application. Does Windows 7 support telnet? If so, how do get it to work?

thanks fr any help.

Re: Telnet in Windows 7

It works ok when I add it from the Programs/Features list.

You can just use Putty Telnet for free in the mean time:

Try to add it in Programs and Features. Vista also not installs it by default, you need to enable it.

Re: Telnet in Windows 7

By default the Telnet client does not come installed on Windows 7. To install it have to do via the control panel.

Installation:
1. Click on Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Programs
2. Click on Turn Windows Features On or Off
3. Mark Telnet Client and click OK
