Indexing service filter daemon

Hello,

I'm using windows xp and from yesterday i'm getting this error frequently . "Indexing Service Filter Daemon Failure" . The error says file name as cidaemon.exe . how to resolve this error ? Please help

Have you tried switching off the indexing service? Explorer>Search>Change preferences

Go to run,type:services.msc In msc scroll to indexing service,set to manual, then close-out.Back to run,type:cmd In cmd typefc /Scannow When the graph starts insert xp cd,exit the info. page.

Try stopping and then restarting the indexing service on your PC (Click Start, right-click My Computer and select Manage... then Services and Applications / Services) or if it still gives you an error try switching off the indexing as it's not massively useful unless you do loads of file searching on your system.
