This is a sound crad issue read the following instruction.. but be sure you first remove all the sound driver installed.
The integrated sound card/SoundMax software does not seem to be recognized once Vista is installed. Therefore no sound. The only instance of sound hardware in Device Manager is High Definition Audio but no mention of SoundMax. Okie, The general recommendatios were:
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Download drive here
- Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
- Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO.
- Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click
Run...
- Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the
package in step 2, and click OK.
Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE
- If the message "Windows can't verify the publisher of
this driver software" appears ,click "Install this driver software
anyway" button to continue installing. Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Reboot the system to complete the installation.

I found a WMP54G (Linksys wireless card) (4.1 and v4.0) x64 driver for Vista and 64bit XP. (Linksys only has the 32 bit vista driver available)
Wirelesss Adapter drivers
Worked perfectly my system Vista x64 Ultimate. The driver is actually the ralink driver (the card is based on the ralink chipset). You can get the original ralink drivers here but it is a lot easier to just use the zip because it only has the sys files and not the ralink installer stuff (the ralink installer failed for me).
