    Save Word in .doc format in MS Word 2007

    hey friends, I need some urgent help from you all. I need to send a word document to one of my colleague. Actually we have to discuss on that document. But the problem is i am having MS office 2007 and my colleague is with Office 2003, so he is not able to view my document.

    Do you have any solution for that ? Can i send him document in .doc format ?

    Hey , you can send him in .doc format even from your office 2007, so that your colleague can easily view in 2003. To save word with .doc, try this steps:-

    1. Open Microsoft Word, click office icon at the top left.

    2. Now, Click the Word Options

    3. Select Save in the left pane, then select Word 97-2003 Documents from the drop down.

    4. Click OK.

    Your friend can also view docx in office 2003 as well.

    This tip works with Excel as well. You can save .xls format in Office 2007 which is by default .xlsx.
