I am unable to record sound in stereo. The stereo recording is done either on the left or the right lane but not on both simultaneously. I am therefore in mono. With WavePad everything is ok but it seems less friendly. Thank you for any help.

I may b a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
Software playthrough always has significant delay due to the time taken for the audio to pass through the computer to the soundcard. What you want is to unmute the playback of the microphone input directly, but this is not normally offered with USB headsets. If you go to Sounds and Audio Devices in the Windows Control Panel, select the Plantronics in the Sound playback panel and click Volume, is there any feature to unmute the microphone so that the input plays, or only the ability to control the output volume? If you only have the output volume control, and there is no way to playback the microphone directly using the proprietary PerSono software that comes with the headset, then there is nothing else you can do with the USB headset. You would need a headset that has separate plugs that could connect to the microphone and line-out ports of the computer, so that it records into and plays out of your computer sound device. If your sound device supported it, you could then unmute the microphone in the playback section of the Windows Control Panel to get less delay.
Try importing each mp3 into Audacity separately and saving again at the same "bit rate" each time?
Then when you try to assemble them at least you can eliminate the likelihood of the different "bit rates" causing the problem.
Incidentally, like JPEGs, repeated saving of mp3 files will eventually corrupt the files to such an extent that distortion etc will creep in.
if you double click on your sound speaker icon next to your clock.
go to options > properties > (there should be a radio button for recording) (check all the deals there) and click ok.
if there is "stero mix" your recording will take ALL inputs that you have a mix them together.
